More than 20 years in the field sets me apart from many other attorneys in the field. I strive to ensure that each client receives the very best representation. I am certified as a Criminal Law Specialist by the Minnesota Bar Association, a distinction held by less than 3% of lawyers in the state (source here). My work has earned me the honor of being selected as a Super Lawyer.
I am deeply rooted in my community. I relocated to Minnesota in 1992 after graduating law school at Tulane University. I am intimately familiar with both county and federal public defender's offices. I founded my own firm so that I can connect directly with the clients who need me most.
I taught Trial Advocacy at two local law schools. I have served as a volunteer or a board member for several community organizations, including African American Family Services and YouthLink.
